Through expert-led training for teachers and parents, weekly newsletters, and daily usage of the Abound app by families and interested staff.
Ignite collaboration that builds family capacity and engagement
Follow family partnership and literacy best practices to get all stakeholders committed to boosting children's reading skills, using the research-backed Abound app.
How?
Parents and staff use the daily Abound content to encourage meaningful, skill-building conversations, with the pre-conference Abound Benchmark Check-In supporting satisfying partnerships around conference time.
Measure program success and impact on children's learning opportunities
Using Abound's authentic and transparent approach, understand stakeholder participation and knowledge, and measure increased learning opportunities for children.
How?
Track family participation in completion and sharing of Abound Benchmark Check-In Results, as well as daily app usage data and program satisfaction.
A high-quality, low-cost program based on the science of reading
- For $500/yr, all families and staff get access to Abound's Benchmark Check-In and the app's daily content (iOS and android, English & Spanish) .
- For another $1000, schools get a staff workshop and a parent presentation explaining the types of skills a child needs to read successfully & how each adult contributes to a child's skill-building process. (Travel expenses not included for in-person workshops.)
- All educators receive a weekly classroom newsletter insert to support ongoing family efforts and maximize the impact for children (in English & Spanish).
